Epi 7 - Chord v2 - https://youtu.be/QFzRTVlxbeY

Epi 6 - Stereo Dipole - https://youtu.be/GRyTJ5GXbM0

Whats up yall! I have created a youtube series called "How I use It". When i was getting into modular i found many helpful videos that explained how the featured module worked but not how to use it musically or the workflow. So in these videos i show some workflows and musical examples of the modules.

Thanks - I found these quite useful :-)

Very nice idea!
I think these vids will appeal in particular to people who already own the module and want to find out new uses for it. Because these people are generally already pretty familiar with the module, perhaps you could consider making the vids a lot shorter. Just my personal 2 cents. Keep up the great work!

liked the magneto one a lot. first part is very similar to how i've been using it lately, only i'll usually sample something from a youtube or instagram video - somebody talking, or an awkwardly spliced acapella

keep the videos coming

Love this idea! I can't wait to get home and follow along with some Uscale Patches (I'm barely scratching the surface as far as possibilities go). Thanks for creating this content smile

Thanks! I will definitely start making them shorter. the first one was 30 mins and the 3rd was 12 mins so i have been trying to cut out alot of unnecessary stuff.

Thanks everyone glad you like them i will be dropping epi 4 with tides 2018 this week!

Great videos! Cool concept, always interested in seeing how others apply a single module to their overall workflow.

Dope!

Loved the video. Not a lot of actual videos of the Tides revision. What do you use to film, edit, and mix?

im using a crappy webcam at the moment the day before i was able to record the first episode my brother in law dropped my dslr so its getting repaied soon. Editing wise im using Cinema 4d for 3d graphics then premiere pro and after effects for video editing. mix wise i have 8 channels out of the rig. i can have them in any config but usually first 3 pairs stereo and last 2 mono. that runs into my fireface 800 then routed to obs studio to capture the video and audio. and i use the talkback mic on my dangerous music D-Box to talk.

I agree. Sometimes we get in our ruts on patching the same things in the same ways and we need to see how others often take a different approach with some interesting results. New discoveries are just a video away - and we didn't need to buy a new module. "-)

Keep it up! applause

Also thanks everyone for checking it out and the feed back. I really appreciate it! Yo globalwm i agree and i think most of us have that issue. the best way for me to get out of patching habits is to let my children help me LOL they always want to do crazy stuff and it works out sometimes..

Yes, really interesting video. Your musicality is inspiring too! Makes me want to get the most out of the Tides, a module I was on the fence about recently.

I’ve enjoyed this series.

It’s clear to me you’re a proper musician (whatever that means) and I think we need more of that in the eurorack demo community. I love hyper-technical reviews (what voltage goes where) but sometimes I just want to hear the thing get played. I was a musician before I was a “synthesist” right?

I was watching some guitar pedal reviews today and I think that’s one thing they have over us... You can fall asleep listening to a pedal review but a module review will usually make you think your alarm clock is going off and startle you awake...

Nice one, keep them coming.

I finally watched this video. Clearest explanation of the ER-101 yet. applause Now that I get the hype around this module, I want one right... (checks accounts) ... very frustrating ... Maybe next year.
