Getting started with ES-3, ES-5 and RME Babyface Pro ~ tips?

Post by gearhead61 » Thu Feb 07, 2019 8:06 pm

I recently took the Expert Sleepers plunge and added an ES-3 mk4 and ES-5 mk3 to my new (and rapidly growing!!) Eurorack modular.
I plan to use an RME Babyface Pro with my Windows 10 laptop to handle the interface/DAW duties.
Looking forward to this new angle on the wiggling!! 8-)

First time dabbling with Expert Sleepers gear, and still haven't fully deep-dived into the TotalMix setup on the Babyface interface. :woah:
Any tips or recommendations from folks who might be familiar with this gear combination (or similar) setup that might be willing to offer a bit of guidance.?
Hoping to avoid too many brick-wall dead-ends during the setup & learning phase of this new adventure.

Thanks!

RR

Make sure in TotalMix your 8 ADAT channels are outputting only the relevant DAW channels (11-18 maybe?) at exactly 0dB.

I'll definitely keep that in mind once I start setting up the software.
Thanks!
