The Bureau- a comic with 9 hours of electronic music

Post by unclebastard » Fri Feb 08, 2019 4:08 am

I came across this via boingboing.net where it was serialised. Now it's complete the creator is publishing it : I thought it might be of interest here, I'll be chipping in for a copy.
Good deals with: Eremitalf, ben_hex, matttech, Elevator Sound

Hey unclebastard, thanks so much! (thanks Rigo, too) Yep, the series actually originated here on muffwiggler as a daily thread. I really appreciate your post!

THE BUREAU tells you a nine hour story, in real time, of a single day at your job.
Sounds like a nightmare!

AND it's jobist. Not everyone has 8 hour-a-day jobs you know.

It wouldn't have surprised me if it was a stand-up comic uploading a 9 hour review video of the MS-101 or some other synth.

JOBIST!!!! That is hilarious. I love you for that, Panason.

8 Hour Day? Nine Hours - 9-6, friend. What world are you in? Here at The Bureau, we have a saying. "Welcome to The Bureau. If you'd like to leave at 5pm, don't take a lunch!"

Thanks, everyone.

Hi, everyone, this has been a good week for the campaign - We're around 200% funded and I'd like to introduce a fun flex goal for the final ten days.

I'll perform a nine hour live video marathon from within the studio for the last day of the campaign, Friday March 1, 8:55am-6:30pm. Will endeavor to use every piece of equipment in the room during the duration of the event.

Thank you both very much! paperCUT, I'm delighted you shared The Bureau's many administrative sounds with your co-workers! You're truly awesome, that delights me to no end.

The last day broadcast went really well. I was on air for about eleven hours (8:30a-8p) and really enjoyed those who stopped by, especially the comments.

If you've ordered a book or download, there should be the first of a set of updates on the progress of things as the books go into production. Thank you all for a cool month - this community is the best.

With appreciation and compliance on all things Bureau, Ethan

Hi, everyone - Just an update that all the books have now been shipped to all supporters of the project - Thank you!

Here's the finished product, book, and extra "First Day Pack" that went to all pledges. Also, a sample assessment. Each assessment is on company letterhead with a custom typed envelope:

Finally, I'm moving over to Bandcamp for full albums. Here's a link to four of them. If you opt for The Bureau, you'll be able to download the Book and the First Day Pack, included.

If you pledged for the book and would like a digital coupon to add The Bureau to your Bandcamp collection, mention it, and I'll provide you with one for free.

Hey kinkujin - Thank you! Sorry, too! I'm presently out of books. I'm thinking of a second run maybe later in the year but presently am totally exhausted by the process of fulfilling all the orders. I appreciate your comment!

Digital Option: It's not a physical copy but if you download the Bandcamp version, the PDF for the entire book is included with the download, along with the First Day Pack:

If you're super bummed and can't swing it, PM me and I'll happily give you a free download code.

Good cheer, all

We are live!

Playing right now, and linked to the real clock, on KUZU.FM

Stream at: http://www.kuzu.fm
Free BUREAU radio Day Shift program PDF: http://www.ep.tc/kuzu

Presently it's 11:07am and the music informs you that you're "Thinking Your Supervisor is a Prick For What He Said About Your Collating"

This is a lot of fun to hear on the radio. Will continue for the next seven hours, stop by if you'd like.
