What would you recommend?

The thinline teles interest me, but the tele sound isn't for me. The es-335s and lookalikes are slightly big/heavy.. I'd like something along the lines of a les paul except way lighter and with a chambered/semi-hollow character.

Thoughts? Prayers?

The PRS semi hollow guitars sound really good for this kind of thing, if you can afford them.

Check out the Gretsch Power Jet. They have a Les Paul-like shape but are chambered and weigh less than 7 lbs. Filtertron pickups are usually twangy but the Power Jet has a hot rodded version closer to Gibson humbuckers.

Agile Harm? Definitely closer in feel and sound to an LP than a 335.

If you want something smaller than a 335, perhaps check out a 339 or Casino Coupé?

Airlines? Supros?

B&G Little Sister Crossroads seems like it has pretty much everything you're looking for. They sound exceptionally great too, IMO.

You won't get a smaller or lighter than my Forshage Orion:

It is small enough to be classed as carry on luggage too, which is nice.
