Extending Grilles...

Post by batchas » Fri Mar 01, 2019 2:15 am

Working on an additional mode for Grilles adding a CVable Clock division mode (alt. firmware made by TheSlowGrowth, unreleased cause still buggy).
Still needs to finalize first a few details: like saving this mode on power off and bootloader audio upload to allow easy firmware update (otherway only possible via ISP).
I'll post here if/when progress are made (I'll look further into it when I have time).

In the meantime:

As usual not to take seriously (style-wise I mean). Showing here also OR and XOR on ACCENT outs:

Start point of division can also be delayed. Will show everything once all is 100% ok and ready.

I'll make a cleaner video when I have time:

Before, I wanted to let you know that I successfuly got the CLOCK DIV firmware mod to work.
I'm sending my code modifs to the autor of this alternative firmware so he can see what I changed to make it work and I'll let you know as soon as I make it available for Grille(s).

I still need to make the .WAV process working though.
To be continued...

Basically it's 1FW with internal clock or external, clock input, clock output, reset input, cv output, pause, 3 directions (pendulum, random, forward), range pot (up to 10V).
I'm sorry if the video where I try to explain the sequencer is not clear. I'll make anyway a new one and post here after I finished the other work.

Video is clear of how it works but is this a euro conversion or some original scrotum design?

It's based on Pure Sequencer by GMSN. I made a few mods in the circuit.

EDIT: today I also changed the code a bit (I was not happy with the RESET behavior in forward mode).
