MIDI Gadget to send Note On

Post by BananaPlug » Wed Nov 12, 2008 3:50 pm

You know all those great little MIDI knob boxes? Is there something like that that can send a Note like a keyboard would? I want something I can use to trigger samples on an old AKAI RS5000 sampler. It's capable of very long samples and I want to roll them in as backing tracks but I need a button to push! Ideal would be something fairly simple with a few note buttons and a few knobs.

m-audio trigger finger. Cheap, gets the job done. Has a simple midi out, which some of the newer things don't (usb only).

I'm thinking the Behringer B-CONTROL NANO BCN44 might do the job (for about $50). Any thoughts?

it's big for the amount of ctrls involved, but otherwise it's good, I think.
