I like the design of the Doepfer A-138 mixers, they are quite minimal in components and don't force the signal through a lot of unnecessary processing, especially when compared to some of the desktop mixers.

The A-138o, which is the output module for the A-138p only has 1 quad TL074 opamp. I thought I would try and do something better with it, seeing I have 8 channels of audio going through it. I purchased a Brown Dog opamp adapter and swapped out the TL074 for two dual LME49720 (LM4562) opamps.

Also I used the adapter to get the rails decoupling (100nF caps) closer to the opamp. Below are some pics and at the bottom is the link to the adapter.

I didn't do any before/after measurements, so I can't show any evidence but subjectively I would say it sounds cleaner. thumbs up
