FH-2 trigger output with Mono Voice issue + one question

Author FH-2 trigger output with Mono Voice issue + one question

Hi,

I just received my FH-2 so I hope I didn't overlook something obvious.
I want a simple Mono Voice : 1 CV, 1 Gate, 1 Trigger.
But I don't won't a trigger to happen when releasing one note while still holding the previous one.
How do I do that ?

Also, there is no way to have a CV/Gate pair with "adjacent" outputs (1-5, 2-6, 2-7, 4-8) ?

Thanks !

And another question :
I also got the MIDI expander.
It really not clear how to plug the ribbon between FH-2 and the expander.
Which is the first pin on the FH-2 GT3 ?
os
Pin 1 is the one nearest the 'GT3' text. This must match pin 1 on the breakout.

There is not.

There's no option for that. It's a bit pointless, since the trigger would only trigger when the gate goes high - so you can just use the gate as the trigger.

Thanks.
Actually I want my envelope to trigger with each incoming note. Never legato.
But releasing notes while holding one should no re-trigger the envelope.

Yarns does this : last note priority, and each new note quickly turns the gate off then on (so no need of the trigger patch to the envelope 'trig' input. Using an Atlantis).

So every note you play is triggered late?

So say you play C, hold it, then play D, then release D. Do you want it to stay on D, even though C is still held?

Yes, according to Emilie Gillet, there is a 0.5 ms delay introduced.

No, the CV should revert to C, but not trigger the envelope.
In other terms, retrigger the envelope at each NEW note.

OK. I'll put it on the wish-list.

Seems odd to me though to have some note transitions with a trigger and some without. So you play a trill and only half the notes have a trigger.

Thanks !
