Wiring of the assign switch on the PolyDAC

Post by terjewinther » Sat May 04, 2019 5:02 am

I have the old 4-channel MIDI-CV module, the PolyDAC. It has a switch for "assign" of the 4 extra CV outs.
How is it supposed to be wired? I think it is marked J1 in the schematics.
Is it to momentary link to ground when used, or should it be disabled from ground when used?

On Elby - which sells the PolyDAC also - a wiring diagram can be found which covers everything

It's a simple momentary switch that shorts the two pins of J1 together when pushed. One of the pins on J1 is 0V and the other pin connects to the microcontroller.

I would use a twisted pair of wires to connect J1 to the switch and don't make the wires too long.
