best way to expand ES-8

Post by docsample » Sat May 11, 2019 11:10 am

Since the ES-8 is technically a 12-in, 16-out soundcard, I would like to take advantage and get extra in's outs.

And I would like the cv/audio range on these ports too, not split gate/clock duties via ES-5. That way I keep it simple.

Would the best route to go be to add an ES-3 via ADAT for the extra outs and a ES-6/7 for the in's?

I’m very interested in this thread although I’m not the OP.

So, to be clear (though I have checked the ES website many times): if I link an ES-8 to an ES-6 expander, I’ll have 10 CV inputs (4 on the ES-8 and 6 on the ES-6) plus 8 CV outputs (8 on the ES-8)?
