Hello all!

We are proud to announce our collaboration with Mute founder, Daniel Miller. We exhibited our first two modules at SuperBooth last week, STUMM and MAKROW.

STUMM is a bank of six mute switches, with inner workings of six discrete VCAs and attack/release envelopes (ensuring click-less muting). We'll be following STUMM up with a few expander modules which will give outputs from the A/R envelopes, controllable attack and release times (for fades in and out) and also access to each VCA to use STUMM as a bank of six fully controllable VCAs, with muting capability.

MAKROW is a macro-controller, presenting six attenuvertable outputs taken from a single DC voltage, set by a large dial at the top of the module. This dial is switchable between unipolar (0V - +10V) and bipolar (-10V - +10V). There is also a CV input which sums to the variable DC voltage, which itself is passed through an attenuverter before hitting each of the six channels. Each attenuverter has been designed with an S-law curve so finer settings around zero (12 o'clock) can be achieved.

We'll be shipping these by 1st August this year, hopefully a fair time before, and both can be pre-ordered from our website, where you'll also find all the details about each.

Cheers!

Nice! And congrats on the Mute collab.

I've been wanting a mute with a controllable envelope. What sort of max attack/release can the Stumm do?

At the moment, we're looking at 1 second for attack and release each.

We have some important news regarding STUMM!

Firstly, as per Daniel’s suggestion, the switches now work in an inverse manner as to how they did originally. This means that audio passes through a channel when the toggle switch is up (LED on) and is muted when the toggle switch is centred (LED off). This gives a better “feel” when performing. The momentary toggle down will audio pass the audio through.

We’re also very pleased to announce that the VCAs are no longer AC-coupled, so will therefore pass control voltages! w00t
