Author emitum thin and clean power case!

I spend time to develop this power board and case that can fit what I need. The case called "sán-sán".
It looks pretty like usual 2x84hp case but has some good features and detail with sán-sán.
It's really thin, lightweight, and with low ripple power. sán-saán provide a really affordable price for everyone who love modular.

Lightweight
It made by aluminum with high quality coating, and only weight 2.3kg/5lbs.

Low Noise
performance of power board at typical current consumption(1000mA):

(Power ripple lower than 10mV)

+12V measurement

-12V measurement

Installation and Equipments

    1. Passive Voltage Probe: Tektronix TPP0500B
    2. Oscilloscope: Tektronix MDO3054
    3. Programmable DC Electronic Load: Chroma 63600-5
    4. AC Power Supplies: KIKUSUI PCR2000LE
    5. Data Acquisition Switch Unit: Keysight 34972A
    6. *DC Power Adapter: Mean Well Desktop AC Adapter GST60A24-P1J

    1. Programmed DC Electronic Load in constant current mode.
    2. Increase 5mA of current consumption every 50 seconds.
    3. Measure data at each step.
    4. Stop measurement after 3.3Hr while current achieve 1.2A.
    5. Restart another measurement keep this procedure for three times.
    6. Data sorting and analysis.

Low-cost
It will start pre-order at $329USD.
It's cheapest same-stage eurorack case in the market right now.

Spec:
Space: 84hp x 2 (M3 rails)
Weight: 2.3 kg / 5 lbs (without power adaptor)

dang, this looks very very nice!!!, too bad my deepest module is 60mm :( Are you planning on deeper version too?

nice cool

You mean inner 60mm?

yes inner, i might switch that module with other that is not as deep, my other modules are no deeper than 40mm, so all of them should fit fine as your case is 52mm deep. But if the deeper case is possible, i would be interested in a fatter one hehe.

What is the deepest module depth in all positions (what is the measurement over the top of the power supply heat sink)?

The measurement graphic refers to max power consumption as 1000mA, but the specification list 1200mA.

How hot does the power supply get?

Is the DC converter brick included? What does it look like?

What is the coating material used, and how durable is it?

How do you use the included audio ports? How are they connected to your module?

Where do you ship from?

Thanks! The case looks very nice!

I need to re-mesure all position. Will keep update detail sketch in this post.

I update more detail above!

No, not included (to lower the selling price)

Anodize with spray painting.

I will release IO expand module. It will has inner link cable.

Taiwan.

Update:

It would have 84hp and 104hp as options!

I'm also thinking to release the spec of IO board that everyone can design their own IO module. SlayerBadger!
funken
nice case, 104hp can be great...
funken
if any of you use this case, I am curious to have some feeback... and pics.
