Touché Performance Video - Rosenboom - Nova Wind

Post by ryangaston » Sat Aug 24, 2019 3:39 pm

Thought some folks might enjoy this—a recently surfaced video of David Rosenboom performing Nova Wind (from Future Travel) on the Touché in 1983.

Super cool to see one of the designers of the instrument performing on it!

I've had "Future Travel" on LP since the 80s and seeing him in action is a real treat, thanks!
This is not the place I'd imagined it to be.

This was great!

I’ve been enjoying Future Travel a lot these past 10 years. Interesting to see part of it played live.

Y'know Todd, you're not the first to suggest that 8-)

But yeah, really remarkable performance. Would love to have seen him back when he was performing with the Touché—some of the other music he made with it gets way more intense than Future Travel. Zones of Influence, for instance, gets pretty crazy.

In any case, super interesting to both see and hear it at the same time—fascinating instrument, and I definitely agree with Peake and wyrtti—Future Travel is just altogether rad.
