Embarassingly Simple Switch Question

Post by sexcomputer » Thu Sep 05, 2019 5:16 pm

Hello Folks,

i'm looking to replace the stomp-style switch on a couple of my guitar pedals with a 3PDT toggle switch and in looking for switches i can only seem to find toggles that are mini-style and i'd like something that would be burlier to withstand lots of transit and performance abuse, can anyone point me in the right direction? i've looked all over electronics parts suppliers websites and can really only seem to find mini toggles.

thanks folks!

Carling makes pretty good switches and they might just have the same hole size...Mouser has them in all kinds of flavors. Mouser's filter makes it really easy to narrow things down based on your requirements.

how big do you want? there are a lot of 3PDT toggles on digikey, many are of a decent size:

they arent cheap, though.

also, do you need it to fit in the same space? in the same PCB holes? this one looks similar sized to a stomp switch:
