ES-9 channel operation

Post by wavejockey » Tue Sep 17, 2019 1:16 am

looks like just what i want/need, a culmination of all your previous work

can i setup in the software which channels are directed to which outputs / inputs?

say i have 24 channels in & 24 channels out through USB

can i choose to direct the last 10 USB IN channels (ch 15->24) to ES-9 outs 1->8?

can i choose to direct 8 ADAT in channels to USB out channels 16-> 24?

once setup, will this continue to work standalone?

I suggest you read the web page & user manual and then come back with questions.

Just jumping in here. So I read through the manual and am guessing that if I want two stereo channel inputs I would need to set that up through the software, correct? And those would preserve panning from other modules without need to hard-setup some kind of panning in software?

Thanks

No, you wouldn't need to do anything. Just choose a channel pair as an input in your DAW.

Cool. But let's say I'm using this as a main output without a laptop/DAW. It will preserve panning and not mix everything down to mono at the monitor/headphone outs?
