iProgram card?? - difference between mini and micro usb

Post by bcomnes » Tue Sep 17, 2019 3:59 pm

The iProgram card manual refers to using the mini USB port for non-WiFi access to the card, and although it shows the micro USB port it makes no mention of its use?

Is there a difference,? does it matter in hooking my iPad up to the card?

And since I'm writing what's that black socket above the network status LEDs for??

Finally, other than shorting 2 pins during a firmware upgrade, what's the purpose of the ICSP header

Thanks in advance to anyone who can enlighten me....

I can answer one of those... ICSP = In Circuit Serial Programming.

In most cases there's no end-user functionality, but this is how they'd program the firmware at the factory. If you look around you'll probably find a 6 pin ICSP header or footprint somewhere on almost anything with a microcontroller.

The Micro USB is only for updating the firmware on the WiFi chipset.
