FH-2 and DIY midi expander

Post by smurf » Sat Sep 21, 2019 6:48 am

assembled one of these
https://www.thonk.co.uk/shop/expert-sle ... -midi-kit/
..to attach to the FH-2. Manual for FH-2 states
" When using the Expert Sleepers MIDI breakout, pin 1 of the breakout's header (GT1) corresponds to pin 1 of the FH-2's header (GT3). Orient the ribbon cable to match up these pins."
It is a bit ambiguous which is the 1 pin on the FH2 pcb - I can see a "1" near the lower pin - but it is between two sets of pins - so I am not sure... Can anyone confirm ...
Thanks!

I replied to your email.

For future reference there's no need to both post and mail. I check every forum post.

I have the same problem identifying pin 1 for connecting the MIDI breakout on the FH-2. So sending an email to 'smurf' doesn't help me.
Can you show a photo here, pointing out pin 1?
Thanks a lot.

Pin 1 is the end closest to the 'GT3' text.
