Disting firmware update difficulties

Post by EdJ » Tue Sep 24, 2019 4:18 am

Hi - I'm having some issues updating the firmware for my disting from 4.10.2 to, well, any other version.

I've tried a couple of different firmware downloads, and they all do the same thing - basically when holding "S" on startup instead of getting the "Confirm" step it just does a very quick approximation of the install process and goes straight to "Success".

I'm unzipping the firmware image.hex on a Macbook pro, and using a Sandisk high-speed SD card.

Could you temporarily remove the two neighbouring modules, to rule out the possibility that something is touching?

Good idea - I'll give that a try this afternoon and report back :)

Never got around to that step... Had a thought on my way home, wasn't sure about the SD card compatibility (it's a 64GB SDXC card), so I had another quick google and found this thread

Long story short, I can confirm that 64GB cards _do_ work, but you have to know to format them to FAT32 :)

Thanks for the help!! :) :) excited to see what I can do with this module :sb:
