What is this 272e antenna thing?

My 272e antenna came with this little plastic thing that looks like what my wife uses to label her herb garden. What is it and what do I do with it?

According to someone else, it's a random part included by the antenna manufacturer.

I believe it's for removing the antenna from the inside of your rear windshield in its more common use case.

I used to connect picture wire to my FM radio antenna & bury it to get better reception.
Maybe you connect something to this & stick it in the dirt?? :guinness:
