Author Post your NEW 5U Audio and Videos here
Thalassa
This thread is a place where we can all share and comment our new videos and audios made using our 5U modulars ( MU / MTOM / 5U DIY...).

To post here please follow these basic rules :

- You must be the author of the video / audio.

- Post only new videos or new audios. To start you can post something that you already have but must be relatively new. No your last video from 10 years ago. Mr. Green

- Share some information about what are you posting.

- Videos and audios don't have to be 100% 5U, but the modular must be an important part.

- Please no attachments. We don't want to increase the forum hosting bill thumbs up Only videos from youtube / vimeo etc and audios from Soundcloud , bandcamp....

Let's start the party w00t w00t w00t

Ok here it is the first post cool

I was having fun testing the DR-03 Hihats / Metal prototype and I decided to record it. All sounds come from the modular. Everything was recorded in real time in 6 individual tracks. The sounds are Kick ,Snare , Hihats, Metal percussion and two sequences. Each sequence is made using only one VCO.
After recording, only a basic mixing and panning and I added a bit of reverb and delay.
It's bit different from what you normally hear from a 5U system hihi

Wow Thalassa! That was a great kick off

Thanks we're not worthy we're not worthy

Nice first post indeed! Here's an experiment to see if I could make something resembling a song touching nothing but the little switch on the dotcom quantizer...

Good sound Thalassa!

Going through the modes sounds like a Phillip Glass piece TimeRaveler. applause

Thalassa: Thanks for starting this thread. And for your video. Sound really great. Do I spot a 2U new hihat+metal module?

TimeRaveler: I remember doing a similar trick with the Moon 565 quantizer and 565D quantizer controller. But no video (hmm might consider getting a camera).

Yes you are right. The prototype is working great only few minor adjustments left to do and it will be ready smile

And about buying a camera.... if you have a phone you already have a camera so no excuses Mr. Green

Here is a short clip of the Dove Audio D100 WTF Oscillator used with a pair of sequencers and delay.

Not really a "proper" demo but more of a taste or idea of what the module sounds like without any filter or vca envelope in combination.

Thalassa
It sounds great, the WRF seems to be a really interesting module smile

This is the first in the 2 Minute Tour series of videos I plan on releasing.

Rather than a detailed, long video or a symphonic composition I'm going to try to highlight features of different modules quickly and to-the-point.

Each module will obviously be capable of far more than I can show in 2 minutes but the videos will showcase some features up-close and personal.

I expect the video quality, editing and composition to improve as I progress and I thank you watching.

Nice! The variable output is great!

Because you will never get the same patch again, I started capturing the patches I made on video and tape. This compilation is the result of the first 10 recordings I did trying to conquer my small 5u Moon Modular system

Enjoy!

It sounds great! Good idea to record the patches SlayerBadger!

I don't have problems with the bandcamp link, I'm using firefox on my computer and chrome on my phone and it works perfectly.

Here it is the direct link for the bandcamp page.

Thanks. I used primarily a dotcom vco with an additional Corsynth C104 Odyssey of Sound VCO for good measure thumbs up filtered through an Analog Craftsman ac2600 VCF for the drone and a Manikin Memotron for that retro vibe.

Nice! What filter did you use in the arpeggio that starts at 30 seconds? It sounds great.
