Feature Request : FH-2 as a dual quantizer with MIDI input ?

Post by chapelier fou » Sun Oct 06, 2019 1:47 pm

Could the FH-2 act as a quantizer for inputs X and Y ?
And if yes, could we imagine having the MIDI input setting the notes of the scale ?
(Is it possible with the Disting, which I don't own ?).
I'm happy to tell more details about how I'd see it working.

In theory it's possible, but it's outside the brief of what the FH-2 generally does. I don't see myself adding it any time soon.

Thanks for the honest answer. I would happily give you some money to see this happening.
Is it possible with a Disting + Midi expander ? If so, can I hook up a MIDI expander to both FH-2 and Disting ?

I've added something similar to the disting's Quantizer 2 algorithm for a future release.

You can't use the same MIDI expander for both exactly, but you could use the MIDI thru function on either to pass the MIDI on.

Thanks, I’ll have a look at it. It’s a great “technique” for live playing.
How does the note holding work ?
