Awesome video. Great audio as well. (Thanks for not just giving us another shitty cam vid).

So how well does the Doepfer CV to Midi controller work? I've heard it pretty low resolution. The idea of hooking up my Andromeda with some CCs from my modular is just too cool.

Thanks!

thanks a lot for your nice comments! I'd say the A-192 works ok. It's 7 bit, but I accept that as part of the game. I have used my JAG (pictured below) for a while to feed my desktop evolver CCs... even though it's stepped with the Doepfer interface, the results can be stunning. It's fascinating how you get a sense of inner space of otherwise opaque and impenetrable machines... it's a feeling like as if you thrust your hand into the machine to knead it's internal organs... or something. I have also used the JAG on my Waldorf Pulse+. The 7bit MIDI resolution is a bitter pill, but it's still analogue, and you get so much more out of synths, even if they're only accessible via MIDI.

Great video, and awesome music- do you release any of your music available on cd?

thank you!! I really appreciate your feedback. I had releases on CD and Vinyl in the nineties... (http://www.discogs.com/artist/Elfish+Echo) but nowadays it's hard, if not impossible to find a label, so I release stuff on my own label (CDr only as yet), go here: http://www.drittland.de/ and online: http://virb.com/elfishecho, http://www.elfishecho.com

A new album is nearly finished and will hopefully be released by the end of the year. I'm considering going all the way and releasing a real CD (not CDr), but I'm still hesitating... I shy away from all the paperwork and expenses... also, finding distributors is difficult here in Germany... nevertheless, maybe I'll do a 300 only-release or so.

thanks for your interest!

When opening this thread I was just happen to listen to F/i with Grant himself on synths. Nice to see some of his Wiard stuff. Cool video! Thanks for uploading!

Elfish Echo's "Baeume und Straeucher" might be of interest to you. This CDR consist of some 20 carefully done miniatures.
