What would you do with 58hp?

Post by wet » Thu Nov 28, 2019 4:52 pm

Hi,

My case is almost full. I know I’m missing some modules that will enable me to get the most out of what I already have. I have 58hp left and the only thing I really want is an ER-301.

At first I didn’t want to get anything until the ER-301 because I know it can already do a lot on its own. But I’d like to make good use of my time while I wait and see how far 58hp can get me.

Without explaining what I already have... I’d like to know what you think the most important modules are that would fill that 58hp space. Would they also be useful if I had an ER-301?

Thanks

It's pretty hard to make any suggestions if we don't know what you already have.

I have a few sequencers, a sampler, drum module, 4 vca, mixer, clock modulators, clock generators, disting and a mutant brain that could probably go.

if it were me i'd want to add maths, kinks and a doepfer sequential switch

which would still leaver room for the er-301

What do you use your disting for most of the time? Consider getting a dedicated, potentially better specialized module instead. It's hard to suggest anything in particular if you don't explain what kind of sounds you aim for typically.

Right now I’m just using it as an oscillator. Could probably use it for something better but I need it for an oscillator atm.

Sounds are hard to describe, but like some form of deconstructed grime and footwork, to faster paced jungle and gabber. I need to be able to use the modules live. I like random happy accidents. Generative.

Is this a request for advice or a riddle?

58HP? I might go slay those kobolds in the Cave of Dread depending on my equipment.
