Modypoly Polysix Arpeggio bug

Post by jojimmijo » Sat Sep 12, 2020 7:58 am

Hello!
Just got my modypoly installed in my Korg Polysix, wich is great!
The only thing what is not so great is that now I've got a bug in my Arpeggio: It often skips notes from the cycle, so the arp is not regulair anomore.
Does anybody knows how to fix this?
Thanks!

If you had the Mod installed by a tech a would return it and ask them to figure it out, as polysix's can be a pain to troubleshoot sometimes.

Buuuut..

A good visual inspection of solder joints would help.
and reseating of the wiring harnesses as these connections are getting up in age. Like wise if this Mod includes eproms make sure they are seated properly.

and of course the obvious..read the user manual.

Which I will admit has thrown me off a fair amount of times. Just jumping into something and not realizing that adding new functions to an older synth requires a new combination of buttons to make certain things work as you've now added "New Modes" while retaining only the original front panel controls.

Best of luck
and
hope this helps!

Hi,
how are you clocking the Arp? Internal clock? External clock? Midi clock?
