if you're going to do this be sure to read the open issues on the github repo

https://github.com/Barsik-Barbosik/Zoom ... tor/issues

Particularly of note, issues with titles like "Zoom G1on doesn't turn on anymore"

Thanks for the heads up - I'll pass that back to my friend. Not sure what pedal he has, but he reported no problems.

Pretty cool, the MS-70CDR is worth having even without the hack. But being able to access even more algorithms is nice.
Personally I think Zoom's distortions and amp sims are not that great though. I had a G3n for a short time and didn't like it. But worth trying if they are "free".

The flash chips on these pedals are only meant to be reflashed a few hundred times before they become corrupt. But even flashing a handful of time could result in a bricked pedal. Tread lightly.

I'm curious though how many FX blocks one can have on a single Zoom pedal. I have a CDR-70 and I assume a lot of picking and choosing would have to be done if you want to get a broad library of FX blocks from all of these pedals on a single pedal. Or maybe it's possible to load 99% of these on my CDR-70?

I tried it on my zoom CDR-70 and it works. I just got rid of a couple of effects I didn't care about in order to load a few overdrives and amp emus, and hey presto. So far so good.
The issue I've got is that those are not seen properly by the free zoom editor tho...
