[emptynoises] vs abre ojos collaboration album/ep

After 3 months of collaboration [emptynoises] (sandyb) and abre ojos (spbaker) have just finished an album full of modular synth goodness. On it you will find four tracks each of which followed this process:

seed -> swap -> process -> swap -> process

where each of us would start with 6-7mins of sound, swap it with the other and either process it or create a response using everything from our modular systems to software including ableton live.

this collaboration wouldn't have been possible without the awesome Muffs Modules forums and all of the awesome peeps who hang here, so even if you see this cross posted at the OTHER place, please know this one is for youse! :love:

All tracks are 192 MP3 files.

Download the full zipped album including cover art here: en_vs_ao.zip 43.3mb

Or individual tracks here:
1. into the sky 11.1mb
2. the reference is to Coma 9.7mb
3. rotating bodies are magnetic 10.9mb
4. utilised for rationalised ends 9.2mb

wow! thanks to everyone for downloading this and especially to those that left us some kind words!

i guess we should have mentioned the words "drone" in the description :lol:
@ knister cheers man! the pay to download thing is a bit of a struggle, so its better for us to drop these out there and share what we've done (we've even licensed them under Creative Commons so you can sample away as long as its non-commercial- so if yr tracks hits the charts with our sample in it, swing us a few bucks 8) ).

@sandyb - thanks so much for being an awesome collaborator and putting up with my blackhole email etiquette and delays in getting this done, you rock :sb:

i was constantly amazed with what sandyb was doing to the tracks and the original stuff he generated, there is nothing finer in the world that an artist with a heap of talent and great gear to help them realize their ideas!

@roycie- a thousand thanks! if yr ever in the melb area of the Sth Pacific make sure to let me know!
