He's a very nice guy as well. We've been cd/tape trading for years and he always sends me some extremely neat shit out of the blue.

I've played shows with him three or four times over the years.
Amazing performer and a great guy.
Seems like he's always on tour, yet he certainly hasn't "made it" in the way that he deserves. ... oepuss-phd

vqlk: " seriously - this a forum dedicated to discussing each other's really lame and un-extreme modular synths??!"

There was a Crank Sturgeon/Emil Beaulieau tour years ago that was amazing. I think maybe Rubber -o- Cement was on that tour as well....another amazing band. Noise shows can be hard to recall sometimes! But yeah, Crank Sturgeon SLAYS.

I love this guy's performances. I've probably done two dozen shows with him and each one is unique and interesting. He always delivers.

He sat in with my band "birdorgan" on guitar on New Year's eve. If you like him and Emil Beaulieau (also a local guy for me), you should check out Id M Theft Able.

Id M, Crank, and myself will all be at the X Fest at 119 Gallery in Lowell on March 4-6. There are so many other acts at this event, it's not even funny. Ok, sometimes it is funny. You would be seriously remiss to miss this.

Laffed my ass off the first and only time I saw him. He wore fishing waders and filled a bunch of buckets full of water from the bathtub in the house he played. then he had people pour the water into his waders. made me sweat with worry over my friends rented house, but he went outside and rolled around to empty out "all the bad shit" or something like that. he also makes those fancy piezo mics that people say is well worth the like 15 bucks or whatever he charges
