Time Machine Mod - Adding A Bypass Switch

Post by Muff Wiggler » Sun Aug 19, 2007 12:39 am

A handy modification to the Time Machine is the addition of a bypass switch, and luckily it isn't difficult to do.

From the base of R42, run a wire to the top or bottom terminal of an SPST (or SPDT) switch. (The base of R42 is the end of it that is connected to the trace on the PCB that goes to Pin #9 of the U13 IC).

Next, from the center terminal of the switch, connect a 100K (1/4 watt) resistor to the +15V power source. The +15V connection can be made right at the point where the power connector's +15V lead is soldered to the PCB.

Enjoy
