picking up my Emu 1820 interface tonight, i need that...then i need to drill a hole thru the wall in the basement so i can put in a proper earth ground so when i move my computer back down there i won't get shocked every time i touch the case...then i can hook up the 1820 into my little Mackie mixer, then i need to actually record some shit with my analog rig...then i need to get the door on my camper fixed so i can actually lock it, then i will be able to move my Yamaha AW4416, Waldorph Pulse with Behringer BCR2000 programmer, Korg ER1, Zoom sampler, Roland SH-32, and Alesis MMT-8 up there permanent like for my dream shitbox industrial synth "getaway" studio...i can go there with no distractions and scream bloody murder or sing falsetto like a little girl and no one will care...

i don't need anymore gear...

sex is an obvious one
After hanging out with some of my relatives, I realized this curse of hermitism, singleism, anti socialism has actually kind of kept me out of "trouble" that means lack of sex too!
Yeah I know, Sometimes I dont get it either,
but Im actually happy I dont have some of the same problems other people have had due to things like that....

blah blah blha

well.....
I need more stuff that excites me more than sex ever has or could:
more fuzz and distorters(it makes me feel like im shooting lazers and burning things, king of the mountain)
There will be more metasonix modules.
There will be more Devi fuzzes.
There will be a decent chorus like the Homebrew THC.
Im actually moving over to a dotcom system too.
yeah i know shocking, but Im getting it for basic things like
VCA's,mixers,ADSR,sample and hold, another osc, and using the Frac for
obscure things that dotcom doesnt have like a banannalogue serge VCS,WVX,noise ring, etc.
Trust me this will make sense and will be very usefull and will save me a lot of money for what I want to do.

Tiny, if you like the Miniwave, you should check out the VCDO, since you must like digital sounds. The CV Recorder can also act as a real time sample rate reducer and fucked-up audio sampler. I've had my eye on those Zvex probes for a long time. I have the Loop Junky and the iMPAMP.

man, just build up your modular system...when i was talking to wiggler about "gee, i wish i had some of your guys crap" he was like "you got what you have, don't fucking worry about it"...find an old rack mount digi delay (with VC), patching it in to your current stuff and a mixer is way better than some stupid "chorus pedal"...buy CRAPPY OLD DISTORTIONS...every one is going to have a different sound, you don't need to spend five hundred bucks for inspiration....i learned more about basic music in the last year and a half or so by not doing anything but playing acoustic guit and singing...i'm not trying to be a dick or anything, but when i was 19 yo, i bought an akai reel to reel that had sound on sound, and i figured out how to patch a feedback loop thru my boombox, and put a mic into the mess, and it sounded like a holy terror! and it cost less than one of your distortion/tube dealies...you can do whatever you want with whatever you want, it's all up to the individual...you are already doing it, worry more about the input, less about the output....

man, just build up your modular system...
Thats the plan.
I still need an oscilator,VCA,Mixer/atten, another LFO,and a sample and hold. There are other details that will emerge about that later when it happens, but trust me it will be cool.
patching it in to your current stuff and a mixer is way better than some stupid "chorus pedal"...
The Homebrew THC really looks cool, plus it has a width knob. its not even 200 bucks either!
Chorus is also my favorite effect, and has been for a long time.
Im also not satisfied with my EHX small clone.

every one is going to have a different sound, you don't need to spend five hundred bucks for inspiration
I havent spent 500 on any of my distortions or fuzzes.
The fuzzes that I do buy are 55 dollars-200 dollars and they have photo eyes, feedback loops, tremelos, custom paintjobs made for me,etc...
In reguards to my TM-1 and TM-7, those are worth every red cent of my overworked ass, most people dont even use them the way I do anyway so its obvious why most people dont get it or ever will.
i learned more about basic music in the last year and a half or so by not doing anything but playing acoustic guit and singing..
See that bores the hell out of me, I dont even like listening to it much either. Its far from inspiring to me.

And I DO use what I have, in ways that other people dont.
Believe me the gear I have gets heavy milage, the stuff Im not interested in using stays out of my studio.
Everything i have gets used, there are no collectors pieces here.
Eventually everything will make sense, although there will still be people saying "damn I good do that with guitar rig and a sampler"
"damn I good make my mackie board sound like that"
"damn that sounds like shit"
"my computer can do that"
"you need to learn how to make music and not noise"

Im really just sick of hearing about "you can do that with this" every time I state what Im interested in, because I probly already have done that and want something else to do it with.
worry more about the input, less about the output....
Im more worried about what inspires me and interests me while staying away from what bores me and doesnt inspire me, that goes for people, food,music,gear,etc...

Tiny - CV Recorder can be similar to a bit crusher, but deals with sample rate rather than bit depth. Either way, it's weird, cold digital distortion. The Loop Junky is really cool. It isn't easy to use like a digital looper. Your timing has to be really accurate, or if your track isn't groove based, it's no problem. The fucked up tone is really special. The iMPAMP is great with a laptop. 1 watt of tube power is more than you might think. Technically, I bought it for my girlfriend but ... well, I got one of these for myself:

The eye tubes match the Wretch Machine quite well.

fair enough...i'm just responding to your thoughts in my way, seems like you are already doing a lot with your stuff as it is, and i was speaking of inspiration and gear, etc, not saying you have to do it...don't take it personal...

i took an impromptu day off tomorrow, and to keep on topic, theres a box at the post office from metasonix that I'll be picking up tomorrow morning, which is potentially (if it's what I'm thinking it is) something I both want and need.... needless to say if it is: I'll be spamming the world with results. If it isn't, I'll still be spamming the world.....
