CGS Infinite Melody for Frac

Post by noisefor » Tue Apr 12, 2011 4:12 pm

Mike over at Metalbox built me a CGS Infinite Melody to order for my Blacet system & I'm guessing he'd do the same for anyone interested.... This is my second Metalbox mod (also have the Digital Noise) and it produces lovely stepped harmonic/random action. Also works with audio as a noise source (just not as crisp as with an actual 'noise' source). It's about 6" deep. More from CGS here:

Here's a long-ish but simple example with a couple 2100's - one driven by the CV out of a 10 step VOS Sequencer with its clock driving the IM Clock In. The IM Output 1 is driving an MF 104Z's Feedback CV In, Output 2 is driving a Klang Werk's Frequency CV In, Output 3 is driving the CV In on an LFO that's into the PWM on one of the 2100's. The IM Mix out is driving the Q In on a Filthy Filtre and I am noodling on a Midi keyboard to the other 2100. Noise input to the IM is the Metalbox DN:

Nice demo!

I can imagine it at a slightly faster tempo with a Motorik beat and a little Michael Rother style guitar work.
