tomarrow it will be a month since I ordered, which was a couple days after they started Plan B dirct buy. If they didn't plan on actually shipping stuff then why did they start it?

Yeah...I was just out of town for a long stretch and I was really hoping my new joystick would be sitting at my office waiting for me.

The first 10 people to reserve (I think it was 10) got emails about payment arrangements and were told that they would ship on Monday (which would have been Feb 9th). When the next batch is ready the people next in line should get similar emails. However nothing has shipped yet that I'm aware of.

Just chiming in here. From all the info I've picked up here and elsewhere,
I personally wouldn't purchase anything from Plan B that wasn't in stock.
I'm not really comfortable doing business that way in this case. A beautiful
exception for me has been Flight of Harmony. He was forthright and made a supreme effort to keep everyone informed as to the status of the joystick group buy. On another side, maybe people should put a damper on their gearlust and never put themselves in a position of waiting on the latest and greatest new thing not yet manufactured. I know there are plenty of people who through no fault of their own are being screwed by various companies, but there are enough modules that can provide the functionality people can use to do their thing that exist and are available from reputable vendors.

Well I pre-ordered figuring I'd be on an indefinite wait-list while they manufacture and test and then pay when it's ready to actually ship. I didn't really mind waiting as I didn't have rack space at the time and understood that the joystick wasn't finished being manufactured yet. When I got the email saying they were shipping I figured it was safe to pay. It's no big deal...I'd rather have it tested and working than rushed.

Gearlust is hard to tame... :hihi:

Just so everyone knows, the joystick I got is not the final production model. I had been pestering Peter, and I got him on a good day. I gave him some feedback on it, and I know that he had to do some modifications to the PCB (from before I had it) and was doing some final tweaks on the design, even after I got mine. So that may be one cause of delay.

Not trying to justify here, just telling everyone what I know.
It is worth it...especially when you compare the cost to other joysticks out there. Who else has a 4 channel bi-polar mixer and 5 variations on 3 gates built into a joystick? :)

I noticed... went from a few emails daily to none at all for a couple weeks now... is it even working? I'd send a test email but I am at work.

The list is moderated and Peter has to approve everything that goes to it. When he is out of pocket (as he appears to be), the activity drops to zero.

Peter did just a few words on his mailing list and I think we should wish him and us a good start with his new plans about Plan B. Here are his words:

Guys,

Sorry for disappearing for the past couple of weeks. The trip to Connecticut was a bit more complex than we originally thought it would, taking an extra week out there and Jennifer has returned with me to Los Angeles and we've been looking for a larger place together. Everything's settled now, We're back to blogging.

Is here anyone who paid for a Model 32 or anything else at Plan B Direct Buy and got his item(s)? I don't understand what happens with Plan B at time. My patience goes to an end for a second time after I had to wait for 8 months on my first module from Plan B in 2005/2006. Since that time I only bought at SchneidersBuero and Noisebug and all went well.
PETER, WHO ARE YOU?????? :bang:
I defended you until this point.

I'm guessing no. Now that Peter is back in the office I'm assuming (hoping) modules will start shipping though.

I've been waiting about a month since I sent payment for my M32. I'm starting to think having a middle man like Noisebug was a really good thing for them.

I have written them twice now just with some general product inquiries, and haven't heard anything. I understand delays in production and communication happen over time. but over weeks and weeks to answer general questions?? glad I haven't placed any direct orders yet

Where in Ireland are you, hi? I swear, you all came out of the woodwork after I returned to the US.
