Author wav player & attenuation problem

hi all,
when controling "loop size" via cv , i'd like to avoid the "0 loop size"
but whatever i use i cannot do it.
using maths for example, scaling ch1 out by ch2, i thought i can transform 0-10v in 2-10v for exemple, but it doesn't work.
how could i achieve that ??

Hello Julien,
i don't know what maths do but i understand what you're asking, if you're using lfos -5+5 for example you will always get 0 loop size, the idea is to attenuate and maybe also offset the CV you're using, like you mention, so if maths is outputting +2 10v and the knob is turned all the way to the left it should work.

Although the best module to achieve this i'd say that it's the ADDAC203 CV Mapping, with this one you can adjust any CV input to a CV range that fits your wav player needs.

all the very best

thx for answer andre.
talking about knobs, what is exactly the action of these when cv control is on ?
it's not clear for me

Hello Julien,

the attenuator works a bit different than most,
leftmost point means 0 attenuation, rightmost 50% attenuation
so if you're using 0-5v than full clockwise mean you're trimming to 0-2.5v
because the cv input works only between 0-5v if you're using higher inputs, e.g. an envelope follower, you can attenuate it to 0-5v

hope this helps!

all the very best
andre
