ive been sick for almost two weeks now--fuckin flu! (or whatever it is)
it wakes me up with a killer sinus headache in the middle of the night.
ive had to live on tylenol pm and dayquil for over a week now.
so ive been kinda fucked in the head, esp with mostly plugged ears.

over the weekend i set up a noise patch that compelled me to record it.
ive been listening to it for days now and it really feels like where im at in my head.

modules involved:

bugbrand SYN1 weevil (3 square wave VCOS w/ ringmod)
bugbrand ENV1 envelope
fonitronik attenuverting mixer
wiard borg filter
wiard joystick
mult
doepfer a188-1 256 delay

these are pretty raw recordings.
ill probably go back over them to pluck out tasty bits for later recontextualization.

hope you enjoy. feedback is welcome (pun intended)

the rawness is one of the best qualities - listened to part 2/3/4 so far - 2 & 4 has some really nice tones and shifts

and nicely done with so few modules, hope you're feeling better, working with the bugbox is the best medicine
Soy Sos
Like stated above, really nice gradual and not so gradual textural
shifts. Good grindy fun! Sounds like feedback loops too.

thanks for the feedback.
the 188 delay has an overbearing feedback in most of the recording.
i used the joystick a lot to adjust the pitch of all three VCOs on the weevil.
i was also flipping the hi/lo switches a lot to get those somewhat rhythmic patterns.

one of the interesting details was using the borg filter near oscillation
before the a-188 which introduced some instability in the output.
i really played the filter cutoff and resonance for the majority of the recording.
i really like the stuttery formant-like bits that occur in the beginning of part 6.
parasitk
Very nice crunchy drones.

damn that sucks. you being sick that is. i haven't listened to the tracks yet lol

anyway i had the same issue the other week but not nearly as bad. and i made some tracks. seems making modular music is a little easier to do when sick compared to playing a more active instrument like guitar, etc. therapuetic too!

get better bro.

Heya - only had a listen to one of them so far, but was really liking it - I'll grab 'em all.
Nail that cold with long-boiled lemon and ginger (lots-of -- super-strength) and a bit of medicinal whiskey always helps.
