I know, this shyte is straight hyperbole, but who's the best 'pound-for-pound' all-time synth band?

My vote would have to be Add N To X.
suitandtieguy
so this is a weight measurement?
JohnLRice
You mean the most synths in the band or????

Like:
Synergy
Kraftwerk
Gary Wright
Tangerine Dream
???
neandrewthal
Joy Electric.Weighing in at 1 human, 1 monosynth, 1 sequencer and 1 space echo, IMO you couldn't find a better synth band at all, let alone under 200 pounds (including gear!)
Cat-A-Tonic
I love me some SCREAMERS. San Francisco synth punk from 1978.

Pound for Pound?
Gotta be Royal Trux, no doubt!
Oh, but they're not very synth based..
... occasional vocoder bits though

(ok, they're not what you're looking for, but, come-on --- Royal Trux! Total greatness!)

PS - Goblin?! (probably not, but, again, greatness!)
Kent
Shit! Taken by surprise that someone mentioned Royal Trux here!

They were infused with lots of 'suck' but when they had their moments of brilliance they were might fuckin' awesome.

Use the "Post Reply" button and not the "Quick Reply" at the bottom of the page. Then use the 'Video' tags or manually add the tags or tags around the link to the video.

You can copy 'n' paste mine if you'd like. Please email them back to me when you are done using them so that I can use them myself... lol spinning Dancing Star

FYI: the video tag buttons are currently screwed up so click the GMap button until it gets fixed. (or hand type after the link!)

Add N To X hyper

I really can't say there is a "best" synth band.

I quite like Lady Tron. I'm going to see them for a second time in a couple weeks Dono-Kun Dance

I love that soundtrack. I can remember that CD being one of my first favorite electronic oriented pieces of music. I'm wondering why I don't have that album ripped onto my computer now? I need to dig it out. w00t w00t
