I'm not sure why this would be in the sacred synth noise forum?

Hi,

I don't have personal experience, but I've heard good things about these guys:

I own this one and have installed two of them. They're a breeze to install. I really only need note on/off and arpeggio sync via midi so I haven't explored much of it's other functions, but it seems pretty solid for the price.

Jesus. the cost of the Kenton one is almost the price of a polysix itself!

I've also used/installed the Elektroservis kits in both P6 and MonoPoly and they are great for simple note on/off, clock stuff.. haven't had a problem..

the clock implementation needs a CC to make it revert to the internal lfo, which for me has been a pain in the ass live, but that is just a quirk of my set-up.

The browser based programmer also didn't quite work as I expected and I needed to edit the sysex msg with hexedit before it would program properly.
I'm on a mac and don't use Logic though so it was my only recourse.

Another +1 for the Elektroservis kit. I believe the only significant advantage of the Kenton kit is the VCF control over MIDI.

this is bizarre - it's showing me as the last contributor to this thread, but I don't recall posting to it, and I don't see my post.

(edit - although now it's a self fulfilling prophecy, I guess)

I did a Juno 60 DCB converter from them four or five years ago and have been happy with the price/performance... though I worried about durability at the time. Yeah, I'm happier with my Kenton gear, but not necessarily three times happier. smile

If you just want basic MIDI input you can't beat Greg. $75 installed -

thanks for the info guys. http://www.chd-el.cz/index.php?id=399 seems to be the way to go.

Saw your post! Had some bad experiences shipping synths, but thank you.

Wish I had seen this thread before because I would have ordered the stateside kit for half the price.

Damn! I just bought one from them yesterday. Hope your kit (and mine) turns up ok soon...

Does anyone have experience with the Kiwisix midi retrofit?

How about this one http://tubbutec.de/?

I'm going to retrofit mine in the near future...
