I'm working on a eurorack design I'd like to start producing and I'm wondering what companies the euro designer/manufacturers are using for their faceplates? help Thanks!

edit: Muff, sorry if I should've put this in DIY instead, but please move it, if you think it makes more sense.

Goatkeeper euro module? Haven't used one, but after checking out what it does, SlayerBadger!

Not quite goatkeeper... but similar.

For protoyping or one-offs to verify component placement you can use Front Panel Express. They are pricey but they can provide a really nice finished engraved panel.

If you are looking for the Harvestman or Livewire finish search for "metalphoto" on Google.

these guys do panels for me and several other US eurorack companies

they'll punch them as well really cheap.

i've never ordered less than 100 at a time, so your mileage may vary. but the holes were less than $1/panel when i was getting quotes of up to $15/panel at other places. the total cost for my filter's faceplate was around $5 each. the printing prices are about the same everywhere that uses metalphoto, i'm going with these guys for the cheap punching. they do great work, but it can take a while if you need the punching done. they have to send it out and it takes about 4-5 weeks from the time they get the file to having a box of faceplates at your door. but after punching hundreds of panels by hand, it's totally worth it.

I just placed an order with them. You can have your order expedited - for $100 extra they quoted me a 10-day turnaround.

Any guess on what it costs to get 1-2 panels made using the metalphoto process (and getting the punching/cutting done)? I haven't sent drawings in for quotes yet but I am just curious about a ballpark figure so that I don't waste my time.

usually getting 1 made is about 100.00 or more ea, i get 5 made when i prototype @45.00ea that includes holes.
