i have just over a dozen matching screws and washers for the old style coco etc.

i just walked into a hardware store seeking brass screws with matching washers. they were exactly the same as the ones used on my old coco and sid.

Would you mind selling me ... six? Or at least one (screw+washer)? Been to several hardware stores, none had anything. Also went to a crafty type of place, they had no idea. Perhaps it's a US thing (I'm in Sweden).

Hej!
I did the fm mod on an old coco a few years ago and had the same experience as dude but here in sweden. The first hardwarestore I walked into had the exact same screw. Problem is I cant remember which store and I dont think I have any left. Probably Beijers....I will also have another look in the garage to see if I can find some.

Oh, really? I'll check Beijer and then get back to dude if it doesn't work out. Thanks!

So... I went to Beijer, found screws, albeit pozidriv (doesn't look as nice). No washers. Tried four other hardware stores, nothing. I even went to a plumbing-things shop. Most just looked at me and said "brass??" as if i'd asked for Cesium washers or something.

So I might have to take your offer, dude. I could make do with just the washers but if you've got spare philips screws I'd be very grateful for those to. Pozidriv just doesn't look very nice :-(

you might want to post a pic of your axxx just to make sure peter still uses same type on yours as he did mine. mine matched perfectly but i have my doubts as to them all using the same type. i wouldn't want you to be disappointed or waste time/money sending something less than perfect.

Want to post this also on this thread as it's the Cocoquantus "main thread".
I already posted this on Muff but many of you Coco Lovers may have missed it and you may find this useful and fun.

Here's a technique I discovered to "sync" a little section of loop in time with a click on the latest Cocoquantus:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rheHsdVGZx0

Patch notes to get the job done:
OP-1 to "Piezo" Audio In
White Audio Out to SKIP
Orange Env Follower to Flip

The "click" is audible on purpose so you can get an idea: it must be "loud and tight", I used a rim-shot amplified at +24, pitched +33 to shorten it.

Cheers,

Fabio

Just throwing it out there... I'm looking for a Coco2 again (hides)

so if someone is looking to upgrade to a newer one with ENV follower I'll take your old one! It's peanut butter jelly time! already put a wanted add up but wanted to put a call out here as well...

After the kind help of dude I am now close to putting it back together. However, I seem to have misplaced the photo I took of the wiring before desoldering everything.

So... Does anyone have a picture of the inside of a version 1 (screws) Coco? The pictures I've found (of the FM mod for instance) are to unsharp, low-res, and don't show all the jacks :-|

Gentle bump from one who puts things on shelves 'til later. Anyone have a decent photo of a Cocos intestines, specifically how the i/o is connected? I stupidly erased my pics.

Will take the back off & post a photo later tonight thumbs up

Wonderful. Now I can finally fix it. Didn't check or get the pics yet as I'm on 3g on a train to the mountains. Next week, hope it's cool that they stay online 'til then... cheers
