WOM PRO kits - a few in the shop...

Post by BugBrand » Tue Oct 04, 2011 3:37 am

I was awaiting battery boxes for AGES.
They're here now, but I'm only here for the next 36 hours.
Hence - 10 kits in the online store - purchase today and I'll get them all sent out tomorrow.

I changed the thread title -- there's a few more kits in the shop if anyone is interested....

Cheers!

Great little device! Took about 45 minutes to build, nice clear instructions, a great intro to kit building IMHO.

Also works really nice with my modular - in fact I'd like to see this in a module too, has a different flavour than the weevil. BTW if you put the range switches between the 2 positions and use unstable starve at about 75% it makes a nice white noise generator :sb:

Recommended to any wiggler :tu:

I built mine yesterday (bought it 2 years ago), and it's really fun. Great sounds coming from it, and I think it can easily challenge the Boardweevil in variation and control - simple but very efficient implementation of touch plates.

As I've told Tom before, I'd like to see one plate that acts as a gate/amplitude control, so that it can be played more easily with others. This could be combined with a switch selecting between continuous sound (as it is now) and sound through a simple touch controlled VCA.

I might try to build that myself on a stripboard for my weevils and the WOM. Would make a great little orchestra!

Hi Tom

I built up the WOM PRO 3.1 today ; quick build (about an hour).

It sounds absolutely KILLER !! :sb:

I had it through my amp this afternoon ; wow !

I particularly liked being able to mix out the individual Oscillators.

Using Osc 1 as an LFO and having the Osc 2 and Osc 3 in the mix is ace !

I can't wait to get this out to a noise gig.

As a Postcard Weevil owner who missed out on the Board Weevil

i have to say this has really taken the edge off my Jones for a Board Weevil !!

Great Job Tom !! Bugbrand Devices rule ! :hail:
