Cyndustries goes frac/euro!!

Post by Muff Wiggler » Tue Nov 27, 2007 2:16 am

I received an unofficial "hush-hush" about this earlier, but now I have the official word from AH, and the OK to post it!

The Cyndustries Dual Saw animator is coming in Euro and Frac formats to AH! They hope to have them for Christmas.

Other formats (MOTM, Modcan) to follow later on.

Very cool! Hope we see more Cyndustries modules hitting the smaller formats! 8)

So much awesome news these days for us frac users! It's hard to keep track of it all!

Anyone here have experience with the dual saw animator? It looks like a great way to make a small synth much beefier.

A thing I find really intriguing on the Cyndustries animator is the 6 LFO outputs. These are taps of the LFOs used in the "animation" circuit...they track the pitch of the incoming signal so that low frequencies are not over modulated and that high frequencies are modulated more (allowing for a linear response of the "animation" sound through the frequency range).

I'm really interested in using those LFOs to drive other stuff. The sound of the animated waveforms is what really draws me to it, but it's the additional feature like that which makes me really lust after it.

Wow-- I just listened to those samples again (over at Cyndustries). Very very impressive. I could be making trashy eurotrance with my synth in no time (seriously, though-- it really looks like it'll open up my small synth into something much bigger-sounding).

Is there any word on when this is coming out? AH says "mid-december" or some-such on the product page, but since it's two months later, I'm wondering if I missed an official delay announcement or something...

No news yet. I put in an order at the beginning of January. Last I heard, AH is still waiting on them to arrive.

Cool-- good to know. I'm sure I'll hear word then when it comes out. I'm very tempted to go for it, but the price tag seems a bit high...

That's rad! I hope this really opens up the business for them.

Yeah so the Saw Animator is at AH, I think I'm going to wait for the Euro one to come in though.
