i always found the name "plague bearer" a bit curious.

then, the other day, i came across the explanation of the name "nosferatu", referring to f.w. murnau's use of the name because bram stoker's neice (or some relative) wouldn't let him use the name "dracula".

from the greek "nosophorus", meaning "disease bearing", "plague carrying".

then the v'amp comes along too.

so, am i late to this discussion?

or what gives with all the vampire stuff?
