So can anyone help me source the "clip nuts" that can be used in Buchla cabinets when the original nuts that should keep the modules in place falls out?

very frustrating You must have an early case . . .
The new case stuff does not use Tinnerman Nuts. (this is what you are looking for) - the new cases use tapped holes....

The early stuff had various design issues ....and this was one of them.

The good news is that it keeps getting better ....and your problem is minor and an easy fix. (once you know the size!) thumbs up I guess its a 4-40 but I do not have one here to check. I do not have a Tinnerman part number handy but if I saw a photo of the ones B&A used I could tell you.
You should be able to get a chinese knock off pretty easy. (you dont need the tinnerman brand).

here is what you need:

thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up
negativspace
Please do not clip my nuts.

On the original case there were nuts brazed on to the back of the edge of the boats. This worked well unless you really torqued the screws in, at which time the brazed nut might come loose. The timmermans were used as a replacement.

So I went to Wurth and they did not have them, and they did not know where to get them either... and they were not very helpful.
The closest source to something similar I found in the UK, but I do not know exactly which one will fit.

Might as well give Buchla a call. Annoying.

You just need to look here: http://buchlatech.blogspot.com/2009/06/tinnermanned.html

Mark even gives a link. w00t

B&A will probably have some to hand as well. For what it's worth, I like the Tinnermann boats for a slightly superficial reason, they give just a tiny bit of wiggle room so that it's possible to line up each module perfectly.

Sorry to revive an old thread.
Does anyone know where you can buy Tinnerman screws?
I have an old Buchla 200 cabinet missing the fasteners that clip into the boat.
I've tried a few suppliers on ebay without success.
Thanks in advance.
cheers jono
