Cables small enough for the PB rev4?

Post by goab » Mon Jan 16, 2012 4:12 am

As anyone who owns a Plague Bearer r4 will know, the jacks are placed extremely close to eachother. There's no way I can use all four in/out-jacks at the same time without breaking something. I currently use Ad Infinitum and some no-names from EFN*. Does anyone know of cables with smaller plugs that work well with the PB?

DIY is an option.

I was going to come post the same thing. Ad infinitum, while awesome feeling, are just as thick as stackables in terms of trying to navigate them into a dense jackfield (the densest I have is the denser intellijels: hexVCA + Dixie... Where ad infinitum or stackcables are usable for filling all holes, but requires a bit of care)

yeah - Doepfer cables are great and a great price but can stay very stiff (especially if its cold). The Mogami are so supple and you can tell the cable under the plastic is a nice thicker gauge. Don't rule those out!

Thanks for that, qu. I've been a big fan of the slim Doepfer cables since I accidentally got my hands on them. It's good to know that Mogami is also an option but I fear that Ad Inf is just too big for my holes. :hihi:

If i may self-promote, briefly:

viewtopic.php?p=636326&highlight=#635901

Currently selling the holy HELL out of the purple ones, and doing well with black and Deluxe. Available in 7.5", 12", 19", 29", as well as 1/8-to-1/4 in 3', 5' and 8'. TRS Silent Way cable are also an option.

Visible here in WMD's very-recent video demo:

Designed from the ground up for use in tightly-populated jack panels, and hand-made from premium wirestock and high-quality termination. They drape well while maintaining clearance from controls, don't kink, and look dead-sexy.

PM for info.

Cheers,
-ian
