Lumberg jacks |

br>Has anyone tried jacks manufactured by Lumberg?
In the not too distant future I want to start building again, and have previously used Switchcraft jacks, but I saw these available through Farnell and wondered how well they performed, given they are a lot cheaper than Switchcraft.
I also noticed that MOS-LAB have a notice on their site saying they are now using them. br> br> |

br>Yup, I like 'em. We've been discussing those in a couple threads now. They Are pretty good, and designed to be PCB-mount if you clip the lugs off. I've tried various avenues and Farnell is the cheapest source. They are actually EST jacks, but EST will not sell direct.
Switchcraft: the 142A is actually 0.141", not 3.5mm, so they don't always work well for 3.5mm replacements. However, I've been harassing Switchcraft to make them with a 3.5mm bushing, and I should receive the samples in a couple weeks here. br> br> |

Very good, post of the day!
I was actually looking at the quarter-inch models, but it's good to know they have a good reputation at least in 3.5mm. br> br> |
