Coming soon

Post by zerosum » Thu Mar 08, 2012 7:12 pm

I have some designs that are being tested and probed.
I'm just waiting on some dotcom power utilities to continue.
Most users are using the cable harness so I am going to test everything on a QPS3, Q137, and QDH20 setup.

I find the MU format the most "comfortable" and "roomy" to work with, that is why I chose to make modules in this format.
The power supplies found in the common MU system are much more robust than some of the other formats which is exactly what I need for what I want to do.
These modules will require some +5, which a QPS3 has plenty of.

Haxor! - 6AS6/5725 Dual Controlled Pentode mixer. 2 in, 1 out, with CV for master level done with a VTL5C3.
Grid 1 handles channel 1, grid 2 handles channel 2. Unique smooth distortion with a different character than the 6AK5/5654.
Prototypes sound really cool and everything works, they will go into production as soon as I can afford to.

The Destructor Beam - Interesting tone sculpting effect. This will be available for sale very soon with more info to follow.

Vactrol Controlled Amplifryer - Now Available! Click Here

I'll try to get some sounds up soon. The Haxor sounds fucking great with two R54's feeding it! :goo:

My crystal ball tells me that a box of demons should be at your door tomorrow. :hyper:  :woah:

About the 4th addition to the family...... Germanium, silicon, 5654, inversion, feedback, two spaces......months away...tons of work.
Destructor Beam and Haxor are coming first. :zen:

The best thing about this family of modules is that they don't use any obscure parts,
They are easy to build, they are simple and easy to understand, and they cost less than anything else I have built before, they are smaller too, These will be available as long as I make modules, these are much more practical products than anything I did last year.

Simple is good.

Fun sounds are coming out of the speakers right now.
Here are two sounds using the Wretch Machine oscillators direct outputs into the Haxor, then into the Destructor Beam.
Wretch machine LFO 1 direct out patched into Haxor CV input.

I'll be announcing two modules for sale soon.

Wretch Haxor Destructor Beam
Wretch Haxor Destructor Beam 2
