wiring power to modules - parallel

Post by pickleinn » Sun May 31, 2009 2:28 pm

i never really paid much attention to this until just recently when i was trying to wire up a few modules really neatly and i wired the power all in series. i didnt fire it up to test it, but it got me thinking:

i have been having trouble with the last two buchla 281 clone boards in a chain of 4 of them and i am going to try switching the power wiring to parallel. has anybody else seen issues from doing it this way?

You should definitely be wiring all you power connectors in parallel.

no, i understand......its just that with the buchla 281 boards i really just wired the power up with neatness in mind and since i have them stacked on top of each other, i just ran a wire through the power pads not really thinking about it.
