if you plug the 267e Output to its Input will it resonate like an OSC? hmmm.....

Does anyone HAVE a 267e??? seriously, i just don't get it
Oxix52
I just tried this a yesterday and yes, it will oscillate with feedback. In fact, set up this way with another oscillator plugged in to the mod input results in some very cool sounds. I'll try to do a video in the next few days demonstrating it.

Does anyone have a 267e that can do a video/review?

How does it compare to the 266e and 291e?

Some feedback video would be awsome!

I too have a few questions about it, mostly about Random section.

When a pulse is plugged into the "smpl" jack and triggers the S+H, what is it sampling? The same noisey triangle that the fluctuating random is generated from? Or is it tied into the external input?

Also - how does the external input tie into the section? Is it applied to the main Fluctuating Random? Also, if nothing external is plugged in does the Random Mix knob affect the output?

Oxix52 did this one:

and a part 2:

Cool! thumbs up

Great videos. The 267e looks to be a great module!

Hi guys. I intended to do some more videos of the 267e but I recently had a baby girl and I didn't ever get to it. I have since sold the 267e and never got around to doing a feedback video. I had gotten the Skylab case intending to use it as a more portable alternative to my 18-space system, but ended up not using the Skylab as much as I thought I would. So, the extra modules had to go and the 267e was one of them. It's a great module and great fun! If you don't already have a 291e or don't have the room for a 291e and 266e, I would highly recommend this module.

Oh, and if you get one, do try the feedback, it is really killer, especially with an oscillator plugged in the mod jacks SlayerBadger! SlayerBadger!

Killer patch we're not worthy

Just received my 267e and had 30min with it.

To my ears:
Selfoscillation sounds GREAT. And yes the FM/AM sounds GREAT as well.
Better than the 291e, or different. Not as harsh/easily distorting.

Pinging the Filter sounds fabulous as well. With AM modulation
Rockin' Banana! Rockin' Banana! Rockin' Banana! Rockin' Banana!

And its very usefull to have the modulation index.

Overall it sounds more analog??? Esp. the Audio Modulation ins.

Ill do a vid later this week.

Well it may actually be. Without knowing anything at all about this the 291e is very obviously sampled at the CV input to the filter frequency. If this also holds true for audio modulation I have not tested or noticed. Perhaps the 267e has had an update to handle this?

In any case, congrats on your purchase!

uhmmm, how do you ping it?
7thDanSound
With a very low frequency sharp waveform such as the mod osc saw or square output from the 259e or the 261e mod osc in pulse/square shape. In low frequency mode

ANY Pulse into banana to audio cable into the input of the filter.
Play with Bandwith, Freq and Amp settings.

291e example:

duh, I think I saw that video but forgot, ahem...
Thanks!

If you have any extra time on your hands could you elaborate on how the Random section of the 267e works?

Is there something I wouldnt do for my fellow wigglers?

Self Oscillation, Ping and Random Part.

Thanks Franz. That was an awesome demo of what seems to be an awesome module we're not worthy

Same! Thanks for helping me to understand this one better. I really love
this one and am very glad I added it to my tiny system. Now see another
reason for that 281e as well. Nice.

Franz - thanks for the awesome, straight forward demo. The 267e REALLY sounds and seems like a killer "classic" Buchla powerhouse module!!! w00t w00t

Ping on !!

Great sounds! Any chance of posting a higher resolution photo of the 267e?
