Monotron Duo CV Mod?

Would i just wire a 1/4 jack to the "Gate" and the ground /negative battery parts? if so, which wire goes to which part of the jack? Or is that irrelevant?
Lyncaster
anyone?

I have made a little breakout box with 3 x 1/4" jacks, one for each of the gate, cutoff and pitch points. The wire goes to the tip of the jack and plug. What are you going to use to send a control voltage?
I have used a Moog lfo (from the CP-251), as well as a Hexinverter Sympleseq. The results of sending cv to the various points were not entirely predictable, because of issues noted on Dinsync's site, as well as in the extensive monotron threads here on Muff's. It was surprisingly hard to figure out by sending cv which jack was for the filter, which for the pitch and which was the gate.

I just need one for the pitch. i dont need it to be that accurate, as its mainly gonna be a noise box/filter.

The duo has a micro processor so the CV mod is considerably different than it is on the other devices..

Crap -_-
I lost the touch keyboard. so basically i need to experiment otherwise its a filter now?

I own a monotron duo also. is there anywhere a tutorial how to do this? or is it the same as with the original monotron?
Lyncaster
Ive seen a couple of vids showing one with the mod, but no tutorials.

I'm kinda confused, does he mean that the Vrib is the CV input?

Without looking into the video, I'm assuming that there is a static voltage input that goes through the ribbon. The resistance of the ribbon then reduces the CV. The ribbon is essentially a potentiometer, and I'd assume that it's a linear one at that.

I could easily be wrong, though. I'm not a very experienced DIYhard.

Silly me! Yes, the guy said in the comments that Vrib is the CV input. Now to try it out!

I've been thinking of trying this mod on my Duo as well. How did it work out for you?
