Teezer Thru-Zero FM Bells Video

Here's a short video of the Teezer thru-zero FM VCO making some bell sounds. The patch I used is shown along with three scope views:

1.) dual trace with the modulating signal (Sin wave) and the output signal
2.) output signal at slower scope sweep rate
3.) X-Y Lissajous figure of modulation and output

The flattened thru-zero transitions are most pronounced on the X-Y plot.

Fantastic Ian thumbs up

Teezer is on my "most wanted" list at the moment. I really wish someone would produce a Dotcom/MU version (hint hint Doug hihi ). I don't know what it is about the tone of this thing that makes me like it so much.

That sounds beautiful Ian.

Love the dual traces on the oscilloscope of both the modulation and resulting waveform - great to see some oscilloscope action with thru-zero oscillators. Out of curiosity, what did you use to capture those traces?

I was really holding out hope for a Euro version of this... waah

Cheers

Nice demos, Ian.

It's nice to see that someone finally posted some soundclips, unlike those other losers...

I ordered a Teezer this week from Bridechamber - this has made me really glad I did. Sounds great Ian.

hmmm..... What other ... seriously, i just don't get it

Actually there were a couple of threads recently asking for more scope demos and for more TZ demos, and I just happenened to have this patch running so ...

Hope it's helpful in getting folks to better understand the TZ thing.

The cheapest thing I could find. lol

It's a Kodak PlayTouch, which at the time, at least, was the least expensive video cam with an external mike connection. I pad down the signal at my mixer and put it directly into the camera. Using an internal mike is unacceptable.

Surprisingly, u-tube didn't mangle the audio too badly.

sounds terrific and I particularly love the dual trace

(why I still don't have scope is beyond me)

Video demo is just gorgeous!!!Two beers this gentleman!
Guinness ftw! Guinness ftw!

p.s.: it's sad the main reason the demo were posted have 'political' background.

Huh? There's no political background. I did it for the reason I said above -- because of recent requests for TZFM demos and for scope demos.

Here's a short Teezer demo, using a prototype of a soon to be released Euro version.

I got to hear a dual Teezer (Loudest Warning/ Serge format) this week - lovely!

Is there any more information you can give us on the new Euro version, Ian?

Glad you liked it! Kits for the second beta testing version are out. I'm hoping to get mine built built up this week.
