Sport Modulator illustrated manual patch

Post by demonamination » Sun Jul 08, 2012 1:10 pm

Hi !

Here is a draft illustrated manual patch for Toppobrillo Sport Modulator. Unfortunately, I don't have this module, so there can be some mistakes. Correct me if I'm wrong ^^

Well here you have a video of a Self Patched Sport Modulator made some time ago.

By the way demonamination I think there are some mistakes in that illustration.

Thanks for taking the time to do this, demonamination. Yes, there are some mistakes.

On page 1 you're sending your sample command to the End Out of the bottom section, output to output. The mode button seems to be missing from some examples. The green patch cable in the sync'd modulations example should be going to the S&H command input ...

Thanks for your replies ! It's a draft, so I make some corrections, as suggested by Navs.

@Navs : Thank you very much for your corrections ! It's sometimes hard to formalise this, I've corrected mistakes you've found.
See the first post - edited/updated ^^

Can you show me where, please ? Note that I use the same "notation system" as it's in the Maths illustrated patch : If the button is unused (don't cycle, lag mode), it's not figuring on the patch.

Thank again everybody, don't hesitate if you see mistakes !

I think that what Navs means is that there are images throughout the manual that are missing the button graphics on the panel. If this was on purpose, maybe putting the buttons in and showing the LEDS as being on or off would demonstrate the MODE selected better.

Great work though!

Just curious, as I got this one the other day - still have to pick it at the local post office though - and was wondering: have any of you guys pared it with a 4MS SMR? I'd love to get a SMR and was wondering how this would sound. I am thinking about this wicked combo of SMR + Sports + ADDAC Marble Physics... 8-)

I saw that people compared this one with Maths and there's also a cool video of 4MS SMR + Maths around youtube. :woah:

Hi demonamination,

a few years later ... ;)

Prompted by another user who was trying to follow one of your illustrations - there is another error on page 6, "VC divider/ cascaded dividers/ suboscillators":

the VCO/LFO, aka clock signal, should be patched into the "SH' input on the right hand side, not the CV input on the left.

I downloaded the manual from the Mediafire link in the first post of this thread, so apologies if you have corrected it elsewhere. But if not .. :sadbanana:
