More power. Condor power supply hoookup question.

Post by dkcg » Wed Jul 08, 2009 7:36 pm

So I keep burning out wallwarts (1.2A), I know my rack was pushing it, but reorganizing sent it over the edge and I'm low on power in that rack (3 x 3u racks), so I bought a Condor HCC 15-3-A+ (12 or 15 volts @ 3Amps). Plenty of power. But I'm not sure how to hook it up to the Doepfer DIY #1 board to go out to the busboards. Anyone using this power supply able to give me a quick run down on how to hook up the external power plug to the power supply? It came with some instructions, but it's more like a limited cryptic schematic to me, and I don't want to blow anything up, or kill myself. It shouldn't be too hard, but better safe than sorry.

Also, I think this should probably be in the DIY subforum.

moved to DIY.
dress yourself for the public. you now must exit your home and acquire a dental mirror and lubrication!
i recommend a hat, or a helmet. if a helmet, ensure that it is both convincing and unbiased. -citizen mori
